Headsmack. "Gretzky? No, that doesn't rhyme with feign..."

@adhair: tell me about it. I had a rhythm down, and was typing, without pausing, "pane, Maine, wheat". Wheat? Way to go, brain.

The 4th image is one of the most confusing pictures I've even seen

@drqfunk: What you're looking at is a plane, sometimes called a planer, a hand tool used for making smooth surfaces on wood.

Curses, I thought that stain was a country. No wonder Kraine didn't work. Not that it would've worked anyway.

I also thought "stain" was some kind of land-mass. I thought "what is a word for peninsula that rhymes with feign"? Of course, I came up blank. Otherwise, good idea for a quiz.

More fun than I expected it to be. Nice job! Let me explain. I was all set to complain or perhaps just abstain. I was going to maintain that the images were inane, or to deign that they were too arcane and just not germane. But my pain would soon wane and I just had to refrain. The quiz really did entertain and was even quite urbane. You deserve some champagne!

Too many people again. I hadn't a clue who most of them were, so resorted to guessing names randomly, which is a bore. Fairer to stick to objects in this type of quiz.

Sat here trying to figure out in what freakin' universe, "Gretzky" rhymed with "gain." Then, I started wracking my brain trying to think of ANY hockey players whose last names would fit. Finally, it clicked.
