It's dominion, not diplomacy.
Jan 26th, 2013 at 04:15 GMT
Maybe "catan" should be acceptable?
Jan 26th, 2013 at 15:32 GMT
Really nice quiz (and not just because you included Settlers)
Jan 26th, 2013 at 15:35 GMT
Yeesh, I had forgotten that Mille Bornes even existed.
Jan 28th, 2013 at 14:21 GMT
Used to play Mille Bornes all the time in grade school. Puncture Proof baby!

Cards Against Humanity!

How many people got "Set" en route to typing "Settlers"?
Jan 29th, 2013 at 20:56 GMT
What this quiz shows is that more people need to be exposed to the wonderful game that is Fluxx. It's also interesting to see how many of these cards are from different versions of the game than I'm used to--and how that didn't affect me figuring out the correct answers.
Feb 25th, 2013 at 02:09 GMT
I was expected Fluxx to be the least-guessed answer, but it's really a great game with unique rules - if you can even call them rules. It's hard to find, but it's worth it.
Apr 9th, 2013 at 22:26 GMT
Okay, I own 7 of the 8 least guessed and only 2 of the others. Sometimes I feel old...

Could MTG be accepted for Magic: The Gathering??

wow... I haven't even heard of most of the ones I missed. Is it me geting old, or were a bunch of these UK and/or Canadian games? Either way, looks like I need to check out some of these.

What, no Cards Against Humanity?
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:11 GMT
'Set' is given for free when you start to enter 'Settlers Of Catan'.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:17 GMT
@Indyski, I was thinking the same thing.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:26 GMT
The Radioactive Potato is probably the best-named Fluxx card out there.

Pokemon but no Yugioh, huh.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:49 GMT
I have to say that 10/20 was my maximum possible score - I have never heard of the other halk of the games!

Ticket to Ride is an amazingly fun game. I think it originated in Germany. There are a bunch of different versions available with different maps (Germany, Europe, North America, Norway...) and they are all a lot of fun for a group, if you ever do a family or friends games night.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 19:58 GMT
LOVE the games variety! Including games like Ticket to Ride, Dominion, Fluxx, and Pandemic makes this quiz an 'A' in my book! (Also, if you haven't tried those games out, give 'em a whirl!)
Apr 20th, 2013 at 20:11 GMT
What, no Munchkin? Boo!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 20:21 GMT
Oh man, it makes me sad that more people haven't heard of Fluxx. What a fascinating game!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 20:59 GMT
Ticket to Ride is an American game, and the American map is the original, but that style of game is often called "German" style. The European and German map versions each offer slightly different gameplay, and there are other maps you can get. You can actually find it in Target and Barnes and Noble, but I would suggest going to your local gamer store (yes, you do have one even if you don't know it) and buy it there. You'll also see a whole slew of board game that you may never have heard of, but many are way fun. Stay away from Fluxx though...
Apr 20th, 2013 at 21:06 GMT
I second naturefreak. Settlers and Ticket to Ride are my absolute favourites among any board/card games, but Dominion, Pandemic and Fluxx are excellent as well. As a rule, we play pandemic always at the highest difficulty level. I don't think we've managed to save the poor world population even once...

Thank you, Wil Wheaton, for introducing me to many of these games!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 21:31 GMT
Allow me to second (third?) the praises for Fluxx. It's a very clever game.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 21:31 GMT
My family use to play Milles Borne almost every family game night. For the last 12 years, I've been trying to remember the name of the game so thank you.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 21:36 GMT
Recommendation: a new mini card game called "IOTA". It's put out by GameWright. Kinda like Set but different.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 21:50 GMT
I went to type Settlers of Catan, and then when Set went, it made me forget to type that because I was concerned with what cards were "Set."
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:00 GMT
How did so many people not get Mille Bornes? It's the second most popular game in France! (According to my dad when he tries to get everyone to play Mille Bornes)
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:00 GMT
Great Quiz... I actually knew Mille Bornes -- we played it in a high school French class -- but I kept spelling it Bourne. Obviously I was paying attention to the wrong thing in French class.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:14 GMT
Love the variety on this quiz. There were a few games that I've never heard of, but maybe I need to check them out based on other comments. Oh...and I second the guy who asked about Munchkin. Awesome game for those of you who haven't played it.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:32 GMT
I distinctly remember playing both Taboo and Fluxx. Could I remember the name of them on this quiz? Of course not...
Apr 20th, 2013 at 22:45 GMT
10 for 20. Of the 10 i missed, id only heard of 2. so i'm happy with that
Apr 20th, 2013 at 23:25 GMT
Having watched Tabletop on Youtube certainly helps with this.
Apr 20th, 2013 at 23:38 GMT
remembered tabu and flux, but not how to spell them....it's a sporcle life
Apr 20th, 2013 at 23:45 GMT
Love that you included Fluxx! We have the zombie version and the Monty Python version. Great game!
Apr 20th, 2013 at 23:59 GMT
One of those games where I was happy to remember the ones that I knew, only missed one I should have known and missed a bunch I have never heard of. Somehow, I never feel bad missing the ones that I have never heard of. Good work!
Apr 21st, 2013 at 00:03 GMT
Fluxx is awesome! Just wish it was better represented in the stats (If you haven't tried it, you should!)
Apr 21st, 2013 at 00:09 GMT
No Balderdash. :(
