Note: For the 5th set, they are objects (the planets, Pluto and the asteroid belt) as a distance from the sun.
NOTE: This is an experimental new quiz type that is a "slot machine" where you have to match one in each column. It is being beta tested now by the editors to see what it can do/has any bugs.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say: "YOU CAN DO THAT?!"

Oh, it's a beta test. I shouldn't have skipped the small print there. I love the idea and it's very clever - already, I have a few fun ideas on what could be done with it. Good luck with identifying bugs and its final stages, and look forward to it being officially released!

The element part got me.

Neat quiz and I'm sure there will be many good uses for this, but...I'm not sure it's going to work for slot machines. Basically on this quiz I don't know either the elements or the greek alphabet (I mean, some, but not the ones in the middle really). On a normal slot machine I can enter the ones I know for sure and then play around with various combinations until I get the right answers on the ones I don't. Obviously you can sort of do the same thing here, it just requires re-clicking the ones you know every time. Not really the worst thing in the world, but I don't see it being better than a normal slot machine quiz. Still, I am sure there will be good uses for it and I like trying new things so keep it up.

@ambition, I can sort of see this one in particular being perhaps at truer test of your knowledge, because as you say, people can't play with combinations and you either know the matches or you don't. And the categories sproutcm has placed here are all fairly common quizzes that anyone will have played at least after just a few months on Sporcle, so it's kind of nice to have it as one of the beta tests before the creative user community starts taking this format and adapting to their multitudinous little niches.

@beforever: I agree with everything you said and think this is a good quiz for a beta test. Just giving my two cents about this format compared to regular slot machines.

@All I totally agree. I think this has to be used sparingly and some quizzes work so much better as the classic slot machines where you type things in and you can trial and error much better, but this allows for some cool new things, I believe.

All in all, a great idea! There's one minor annoyance that I don't know if it can be fixed or not. When I accidentally hit a wrong answer in the middle of the game, it didn't let me change it. I had to finish out the row, have them all shake, and start over -- a bit frustrating.

Was wondering about that too - especially with the animal species quiz MrChewyPoo made today. I wish there was a reset button, or like... a 're-click all the ones I clicked before I clicked that wrong thing at the end' button... if that makes sense.
