	@Chocolatl: What's the 3rd largest city in Myanmar (Burma)? What's the 3rd largest city in South Korea? Do you know them off the top of your head? They are the two countries closest in population to South Africa. Why is it such a surprise that people don't know them?

	I only got Durban by trial and error, and I'm not sure whether to feel like an idiot for having no idea that city existed. I'm American and therefore kind of expect to find that I've never learned anything about anywhere, but apparently other people had the same issue, and I definitely don't think it's on a level anywhere near the other three.

	@All Have people played hangman before? Do you always try to pick the easiest most common words in English so that your opponent will get it withiout getting letters wrong? I think the answer is no. I intentionally picked cities from different continents, of different sizes, and some capitals, some not, so people could use logic to find them. Just try to enjoy yourselves, learn new things, and understand that not everyone has the same knowledge, but everyone should want to learn new things.

	@kmd. To me "World Cities" implies that the cities included in the quiz are located around the world and not limited to a certain country or region. Your analogy comparing "World Cities" to "Popular TV Shows" is tenuous. If sproutcm had titled the quiz "Major World Cities", then you might have a point.

	Hmm. It would help if I read the instructions first. Randomly guessed Paris as the 5 letter city, then spent waaay too much time trying to think of other 5 letter cities -A---, ---I-, P----, etc. Cool quiz, and a fun format!

	Hangman has a limit to the number of guesses rather than a limit on the time. If you could somehow limit the number of guesses while giving us more time, that would be better IMO.

	@deugea: yes i do know those off the top of my head. Naypyidaw and Incheon. I don't expect everyone to know those cities, but the quiz is supposed to reward those that know extensive geography. If all 4 were easy then everyone would get them all, and what does that prove?

	wow there is a lot of criticism just because people havent heard of a city. That says more about you than the quiz writer. Quizzes are meant to be challenging and if you dont know an answer then take it as a positive that you have learnt something rather than criticising the person who put in effort to make it. I thought it was a good quiz with a good array of cities

	Durban is a huge city, with about the population of Berlin. It's definitely a city people should be aware of, even though its location in Africa (a continent largely ignored by Western media) makes it much less well-known than similarly sized cities in Europe or North America.

	I, for one, appreciated that not all words had the same letters. So after trying a5, a6, a7 and a8, I didn't get a hit on all 4. Ironically enough, the one I had most trouble with was that tiny city with 7 letters...

	@deugea: I guessed that the 3rd largest cities in South Korea and Myanmar were Daegu and Naypyidaw, respectively, but I was only half right. Incheon just barely beats out Daegu by 100k or so. Just because you don't know these things, doesn't mean nobody does.

	I've only heard of Durban because the US had their group stage matches there for the past World Cup. Otherwise, I never would have guessed it. It was too easy to guess "Berlin" after getting the "r" and the "n".

	@matt01...I'm American and am very aware of Durban, on the east coast of South Africa. I'm sick of broad pejorative generalizations about Americans from people who know nothing about us. There are both unqualified idiots and intelligent people who probably know more geography than you do in ALL countries of the world including the US, UK and everywhere else.

	For confused whingers: Durban has a population of almost three and a half million people, making it bigger than Chicago (which also happens to be one of its "twin towns"). It has the largest container port in the whole of Africa. It has hosted matches in the rugby, cricket and soccer World Cups. You hadn't heard of it? Well then, you've learned something!

	I'm American, and I often have trouble simply remembering names on geography quizzes, but I have heard of Durban, and I got it (finally.) I didn't think, "gee, where is that?", I thought, "oh, South Africa!"
