Very good quiz! The verse you have for Romans 2:23 is actually 3:23, other than that, excellent!

Great quiz! Would love more like these. Just a shame the email link and the url say KVJ instead of KJV. An idea for publication, Sporcle, given the KJV's 400th anniversary this year?

@left @Bassoonist All fixed. Thanks for catching that! Also, I'm looking for solid ideas for a sequel or two more quotes to add to this one (since it can easily fit 10 verses in the space but I stopped after 8.) A friend suggested either Deutronomy 6:5 or Mark 12:30. I'd love to have more OT on here to balance.

I agree, great quiz! Some possible OT verses for a sequel could be Isaiah 53:5-6, Isaiah 55:8-9, Isaiah 6:3, and Genesis 2:23. Your friend has a good passage in Deuteronomy as well. I would avoid Genesis 3:16.

Other OT ideas could be several more Psalms, Jeremiah 29:11-14 and Job 19:25-27. The Job gives me another idea for a quiz of texts used in oratorios...

It's satisfying how getting one verse gives you enough clues to give you one other, then another.

Actually the URL still contains KVJ.

@Stiltner Sadly, a URL cannot be changed once a quiz has been posted. Grr.

@sproutcm: You could easily have an OT and a NT quiz to follow. Genesis 6:8, Job 1:21, Psalms 1:1, and many others in Proverbs, Isaiah, and Jeremiah could work, as well as several in Deuteronomy. Good quiz, BTW.

Verily? No. Truly? No. Well what is it? Again! Blah. Glad to see that's the most missed word by a long shot.

John 11:35 and Luke 17:32 would be fun too, given that they're the shortest verses in the KJV Bible.

Another suggestion, if you're still looking to add/do a sequel: Rev 1:5-6 (or 5-7).
