This is one quiz where a score in the lowest quintile carries the badge of honor. God that comic is pathetic.

And once again, I learn breaking news from Sporcle. Have to respectfully disagree with Phraxos' comment. As a parent of young children I often find Keane's observations fitting. R.I.P Bil.

I am so ashamed I'm in the 99th percentile. I blame you, Josh Fruhlinger!

I will cosign the hatred for this odious bit of tripe (I still got 8/18 - read it as a kid and remembered a little).

Could have included "Not Me" and "Ida Know" as bonus answers. Haters gonna hate.

Are you sure they're in Arizona? I definitely recall some strips featuring deep snow. Bil Keane lived in Arizona, but not sure that was the setting for the strip.

Certainly not my favorite strip, but it sure had staying power. RIP, Mr Keane.

I've never understood the hate this comic gets. It was my favorite as a kid, and one of the few (along with Dilbert, Foxtrot, and Shoe) I still enjoy on a regular basis. Well, WAS one of the few, after I heard the news today. :(

@Hejman, I agree with you. I had not heard of Bil's passing, but when I did this quiz and saw the quick publish (same day as contribution), I had a feeling something was up. Sporcle really is on the ball with breaking news. I loved Family Circus, and it's sad to say goodbye to another great cartoonist. :(

@caramba He set it in Scottsdale, AZ, but he says he used snow and other scenes there from his childhood up in Pennsylvania as well. I admit, it is kinda a hard question even for a die-hard fan.

I can still picture the comics with the dotted lines running through the neighborhood, the ones with dozens of speech bubbles, and the ones drawn by the kids. Ahhh...memories from childhood. Thanks Bil Keane.

I'm from Northern Arizona. Trust me, there can be plenty of deep snow in Arizona, if you drive a couple of hours north of Phoenix.

Yes, my taste in comics evolved but this was part of my growing up and I don't regret liking it.

That moment when you're wracking your brain to remember the disgusting name given to the dog... "Scuzzface? No. Hairball? No... Puke-something...."
