Great idea - love it! Maybe specify in the intro that some words are abbreviations (to help those of us who are a bit slow)?

@VanessaE There are no abbreviations on here at all. These are all full English words and all Scrabble legal. Some of them are the shorter forms of the words, like 'frat' for 'fraternity' but none of these are abbreviations in the dictionary.

I don't understand "pat"? All I see is butter, or toast..

"lat", "frat", and "stat" are all listed as "informal" uses. So they skate on the edge of being "full English words". In case you're honestly confused, lwfc: It's a "pat" of butter.

I and 97% of my fellow quiz takers just went to Wikipedia to learn about the card game.

dreamin78 - yes, I was honestly confused. I assume it must be an american term because I have never heard it!

the card game by that name that I know of only has three cards. And after looking it up on Wikipedia, that was definitely not the same game.
