The first one sounds like you're looking for a noun (something done in a crude manner). I think that's probably why it's the least guessed. Dictionary says "in a bad manner" so maybe "in a crude manner"?

Sharpy is a narwhal. Narwhals can't draw. No one ever let Sharpy know that.

I love the phrase the 5 letter words make! It's the only way I was able to get the first word.

Ah, I was reading 'Free from danger' as an action, as in freeing someone from danger. Apparently I'm very distinctly in the minority on this however.

I feel like I've just deciphered an important message with my secret decoder ring, only to be told "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine!"

"Free from danger" could be "save." I'd change it to "Away from danger" to make it fully adjectival.
