I don't agree that there is a single definition of the phrase world city that is sufficiently ubiquitous that the game is confusing. Notice, for example, that even the wiki disambiguation page for "world city" links to, among other things, a list of cities of the world — to many people the phrase has its natural meaning, not the more precise one that many commenters are employing.
Perhaps there are phrasings for the question that would be clearer to those for whom the phrase has the particular meaning, but none (that I can think of) are as concise while retaining the essential meaning. (Besides, once y'all got something like "_O_O_AMA" I think it should have been pretty clear that the answer wasn't among the hundred or so cities that appear on those "world city" lists — in other words, even to the extent the question is imprecise and/or inaccurate, depending on your view, it shouldn't have had much effect on game play.) |
