1. There has to be a better celeb with the first name Jordan than a tool from New Kids on the Block. 2. Could you accept "Charming Potato" for Channing Tatum. That would be hilarious. 3. What if one of these was made where it was one long string of names...is that even possible? Each last name leading to the next one. So it would be like "Marc Anthony - Anthony Anderson - Anderson Cooper - and now I've written myself into a corner bc I can't think of a celeb w/ the first name Cooper except for Peyton Manning's brother Cooper"

foolishly didn't read the rules completely, thought that it was a complete name chain instead of pairs, didn't know who the guy between matt damon and jane russell was and tried "damon jane" thinking "gee that's a weird name"

You know.... this game would play a whole lot faster if you'd accept just last names for the first image of each set and just first names for the second one....

Fun quiz. I'd also like to see one where the celebrities with the matching names aren't paired up next to each other but instead are in random places throughout the quiz. This way, the quiz taker also has to search for the matching celebrities, adding a new dimension to the game.

I almost misunderstood the game. I started entering names at the top left and got to the third picture, and I'm thinking "Now I know that guy's first name isn't Sheen." I looked over the next few and finally got it that we just needed two names at a time (the first two shared a name, then the second two shared a name, and so on rather than each person sharing first and last names with the person on either side of them).
Grokking the instructions before starting the game really, really helps.

The only critique I would give is that if you just said "name the famous people in the pictures", the quiz would play out about the same. Is there a way to set up the quiz so you have to enter one answer for each pair of pictures or something similar? Anyways, not complaining - just thought I would provide a suggestion. Cheers!

I'm with ajaxfm. This is just a 'Name the famous people' quiz. You ought to have set it up so that you need to put 2 names on one line, and pictures are mixed up, not adjacent.

It's basically like the category Before and After on Wheel of Fortune. The answers could work like "James Cameron Diaz".

Great job eschewing the obvious pairings. I hope you do a sequel, but instead of two picture, pair them up as a single clue and have us enter the whole 3-word phrase "Michael Jackson Pollack" or "Martin Lawrence Olivier" rather than the separate parts.

I don't mind the current format. There's a few here I would never have got until I unless I knew the celebrity paired with them. @SteeleyMatt: You may be a Weezer fan, but he's hardly a household or reconizable face like most of the others.

@All Yeah, the point of this quiz is NOT to have to name both to get credit, that you can get half right/or get half to confirm it and then work out who the other person it. There are plenty of other quizzes out there with name chains where you don't have pictures and you have to get the full set for credit. I also made one with Overlap trios:

Clever way to do a picture quiz. You're right, sprout, that knowing one person definitely helps with their other half if you're having trouble with it. Now I'm off to try your overlapping trios quiz! :)

Tony Orlando? Didn't recognize Orlando Bloom so kept thinking Tony was an all-dressed-up, perfectly coiffed Little Richard so then Richard who, and Joan RiverS?-- wonder how many players were thinking River Phoenix (RIP) doesn't fit.

I had no clue who Rivers Cuomo was. Most of the other celebrities were known on their own, not the lead singer of a particular band, like Weezer. George Harrison had a successful solo career above and beyond his work with the Beatles. Tony Orlando and Dawn was the name of his group. Bob Dylan is well-known outside of the bands he collaborated with from time to time. I thought that was the only really obscure road block to this one. Most people would not know Rivers Cuomo individually by sight.

Great concept, though I think the entry would be more interesting if the choices weren't split up, and you had to enter, to use an example not in the quiz, "Jon Stewart Copeland" for Jon Stewart and Stewart Copeland, or something like that.

Trivia note: Which recording has sold the most copies in any format? Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album or Rivers Cuomo's band Weezer's "Buddy Holly"?
"Buddy Holly" was included on the Windows 95 installation disk, as a sample of that product's ability to play video files. (So was Edie Brickell's "What I Am".)
Since Microsoft sold at least 40 million copies of that disk in the US alone, that effectively makes these two songs the biggest selling recordings in history. And most people who bought Windows 95 probably had no idea they owned those tracks.
PS: No sympathy from me about not recognizing Rivers Cuomo by face. I didn't either, but how many celebs with the first name Rivers can there be?
