I have never heard of Brendon Urie. At first I thought it was the guy from Fall Out Boy.

@Robinh2 Close, he's the lead singer of Panic! At the Disco. The only other option is the actor Michael Urie, the guy who was on Ugly Betty and has a new sitcom out this fall, but he's a lot less recognizable.

I knew Kristen "Wiig" from SNL. Tried several spellings. But I didn't get it although I knew it.

I also thought it was Pete Wentz. I would have gotten Michael Urie in a heartbeat, but I've never seen(or heard of) Brendan Urie.

Totally thought 4th row 2nd column was Adam Lambert...until I realized his last name didn't start with a "U"...and was seven letters long...in retrospect - this was a really dumb guess on my part...

Including Jason Mraz would have been a wonderful tweak against those Sporclers (*cough-cough*) who try to construct names lexically for the answers we don't know.

@TeaHeals: I initially was going to give you the thumbs down, but then realized that because I (and 97% of us) had never heard of the guy before, we are now better for being exposed to him. It should not diminish your particular comment. Ultimately I think the negative votes are meant to be directed at Sproutcm for selecting him, not at you.

@Sproutcm I always love your quizzes. This one included. Finding a "U" celeb had to be hard. The only thing close that comes to my mine is Uter from "The Simpsoms" 5 globes

Brendan Urie is from the emo band Panic at the Disco. Girls between the ages of about 18 - 22 will probably be familiar with him as he was popular when we were 12-16.

Sigh. Just because you don't recognize Brendon Urie, it doesn't mean he still doesn't have millions more dollars than you'll ever have.

And you wouldn't recognize Carlos Slim Helu by sight, but he's the richest man in the ****ing world. That has NOTHING to do with this quiz. Being wealthy does not make you famous; being KNOWN makes you famous.

However crudely Talmanes put it, he's spot on. You could replace Helen Hunt with Peter Hook from New Order who is at least as famous as Urie, but no one would get it. There's a difference between a public persona and true fame...but hey, we ARE just talking about a Sporcle quiz after all...
