	Technically none of the states are rectangular, given the fact that the distance between lines of longitude changes with latitude.

	@northstars76 Why does the time matter? Can't people just relax and think about the questions rather than being rushed? If you finished early, then you can just be proud of all the extra time you didn't use.

	Nice quiz! It seems odd to me that there's such a big drop on the last question. It was one of the easiest for me (since I'm in Utah) but even if you're not, three of those states are in a vertical line and one isn't. Maybe people just don't know what the continental divide is?

	@Rachelkachel I can only speak for myself, but not being from that area, it's hard to picture which states are above and below which other states in that region. I had difficulty deciding if Utah was too far west, or if Colorado was too far east.

	Somehow got the Continental Divide confused with the Mason-Dixon Line and was completely confused by the last question. :/ Doubt I would have gotten it correct either way, since I only got that far via educated guesses for some questions.

	I'm going to make one of those lame comments that no one cares about, except for the locals - Washington state only has large amounts of rainfall on the Western side of the state. And the Western side of the state is less than 25% of the state's area. Many parts of the Eastern side of the Cascade Mountains is high-desert. My area only gets about nine inches of rain per year.

	Vote to remove the word "perfectly" from the rectangular question (not because the distances are different but because it is not perfectly rectangular). See (38.35565723364132, -109.06059265136719) and (36.99919388639049, -108.25017929077148).

	@georgexu79, I live ten minutes from the Iowa-Minnesota border, and I can assure that it is perfectly straight. Most of the Iowa-Missouri border is straight as well, but you're right that the east and west borders are all river.

	Spending too much time on Google Earth has taught me that Colorado actually ISN'T perfectly rectangular! If you look really close there are a few little kinks in the lines.

	Fun Quiz! People could lay off the extra time complaints and the rectangular state persnicketiness. Some questions were easy for everybody, others quite difficult for many, some questions make you close your eyes and hit a button hoping for the best, and that's what makes for a fun, great quiz!

	@geogeorge: Being from pennsylvania I can tell you that the quiz is referring to commonwealth state. Pennsylvania goes by the commonwealth of pennsylvania, as does virginia. I don't know about mass.

	For everyone arguing the perfectly rectangular point that argument you are being is ridiculous. When the states became states their borders were marked by stones and people with old technology where they mark the direction they want the border to be walk that direction and place another stone. (They did have equipment that made sure that it was rather straight, but it wasn’t perfect) Due to this human error and the fact that they could not make a perfectly straight line like they could now, they meant for the state to be a rectangle and for the purpose of the question it is. This goes for Iowa's straight northern boarder as well.

	If Colorado is not a rectangle, which state did you answer for that question exactly. I'm just curious which of the other 3 anyone might deem more of a rectangle than Colorado.

	@McoPnelli For everyone arguing the perfectly rectangular point, you might as well argue that rectangles are 2 dimensional therefore it's not even physically possible for a state to be rectangular.
