I'm consistently surprised (though perhaps I shouldn't be any more, given that this is the 8th quiz in the series) that the predicted difficulty for each question is confirmed by the stats page.

Rectangle should not be accepted. A rhombus with a right angle will always be a square, and there's no reason not to be specific.

@Rotage: In German, nouns are capitalized, so "Morgen" does mean "morning," but "morgen" does not.

I had always learned that "fast" (referring to speed) shouldn't be used as an adverb (and that "quickly" should be used instead), but Merriam-Webster has it listed an adverb as well as an adjective. Guess I learned something new today.

@Ned_Ryerson: In this case, the answer is always a square. A rhombus is a quadrilateral with four equal sides. Making one angle in a rhombus a right angle will force the shape to be a square. Try it for yourself and you should see it. If you accept rectangle, you might as well accept quadrilateral, or parallelogram, or even rhombus as they are all technically true answers, just not very interesting ones.

Very minor spelling correction: in the fifth "Hard" question, "song" should be "songs". Good quiz.

Nice as usual. "Sememster" in the first medium question was a new word to me though ;)
@rotage and brazenchild: German has two words "Morgen". "Der Morgen" (gramattically male) is morning, "Das Morgen" (gramatically neuter, though hardly used as a substantive) is tomorrow. Which made the translation of the James Bond Movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" as "Der Morgen stirbt nie" quite wrong. A small "morgen" is the adverb of "tomorrow".

@Evil44: Regardless of what you think politically, if you want to make educated choices and understand why the world is like it is, you need to know about things you do not like as well. Fairy tale time should stop somewhere before you start going to school. If knowing about the existence of Communism and the New Deal is liberal, would that make not knowing conservative?

The languages one really threw me - I couldn't remember what the French meant, had no idea about the spanish or russian, and the only context I'd ever heard the german in was 'guten morgen' - i.e. 'good morning'.

@TheFlyingBarney: see the archived comments about Morgen/morgen meaning both 'tomorrow' and 'morning' in German. "Mañana" has also both meanings in Spanish (so "tomorrow morning" is "mañana por la mañana"). It was much more common to say that you had to do something tomorrow in the morning than in the afternoon (let alone in the evening when there was no artificial light), so both meanings got confused. If the author had included only German and Spanish the answer would have been ambiguous, but with four languages there is no doubt.
