| @CindyS57: there are actually two sets of primary colors. the question is asking for the primary colors of light, or the subtractive. red, green, and blue combine to make white. then to make the other colors you take away some of that red, blue, or white light and it will change into different hues. this is how monitors work and why are said to use an RGB color space. the red, blue, and yellow you are referring to are the additive primary colors. these are used when referring to paint and ink and things like that. our paper or canvas is white, and then we make different colors by adding different amounts of red, blue, and yellow. |
