| I like to think that *not* knowing Rebecca Black's name makes me smarter than a college student. |

| If these quizzes are intended for college educated people, you probably don't need to tell us, "What word fills in the blank in Smith's title". We get how filling in a blank works. |

| A fun grab-bag series. I'm relieved that the pop culture ones are ones I miss--in 20 years few people will remember or care about video games of music videos. But Gretzky will still be from Canada and Colorado will still be shaped that way. Oh, and Go New Libya! A former grad school econ prof of mine is their minister of finance. |

| Very good quiz, but I think you should alter the Monopoly question as many of us (like me) have never even seen the US version. Maybe allow some alternate answers from different countries at least? |

| If this is the level of intelligence of the modern college student then we are in major trouble. This is middle school level stuff. |

| I agree with Happ_Hazzard: The 1066 question is way, way too easy, especially for the hard column. I mean, that should be common knowledge for ten-year olds at school, not just college students. |
 | jajdude: | Mar 12th, 2012 at 08:13 GMT | | 20 points |
| The thing about trivia questions is that anyone can be an idiot at times. For everybody, there's always one you don't know or remember, that most people would get. |
 | prouvaire: | Mar 12th, 2012 at 08:15 GMT | | 13 points |
| Given the current spread of answers, I'd say you categorized the questions correctly. After over 13,000 people, the results are clearly in easy/medium/hard divisions. Congratulations! |
 | ToughQuiz: | Mar 12th, 2012 at 08:25 GMT | | 1 point |
| Categorizing these sorts of quizzes is somewhat subjective. Guess you could always compile a bunch of trivia, head off to your local 4-year college and get a group of volunteer students to take the quiz. Then you could categorize based on % of correctly answered questions. |

| For some reason, the medium column is always harder to me than the hard one. I got 4/10 on the former and 8/10 the latter... |

 | KerrieBee23: | Mar 12th, 2012 at 12:33 GMT | | 17 points |
| @milc Most people usually assume that the capital is Sydney. |

The Monopoly question, while now more specific, is rather awkwardly phrased. Can it be reworded as:
In the original American version of Monopoly, what is the most expensive property to purchase? |

| Yeah, I'm not very smart with pop culture. And I don't drink, so that already makes me lose 3 questions. Love the history ones, and any question related to classical music. |
 | wrightnyc: | Mar 12th, 2012 at 17:51 GMT | | 16 points |
| @gigimacmurray: I don't think whether or not someone drinks is all that relevant. Ask the average person that "drinks" where Pilsner Urquell is from, and they'll probably give you the same "Wha'jya Say?" look as a person who doesn't drink. I'd bet you don't smoke either, but you probably know which country is most famous for its cigars. |

| People need to get over themselves. I'd rather college students be learning practical skills than memorizing history's royalty. We're not "in trouble" if college students are unfamiliar with William the Conqueror. Scoring well in trivia is no indicator of intelligence. Memorization? Yes. An inquiring mind? Sure. Intelligence? No. |
