Can you name the images that each start with the letter 'A'?
created by
sproutcm
Enter an answer in the box below
Correctly named answers will show up below
If your obvious answer isn't working, you probably have to be more specific. For example, ANIMAL is too general; you need to identify the specific animal in the photo.

I like this. You should do it with every letter of the alphabet.

@12lehmae Oh, fear not. I already have all my images picked for the first few letters of the alphabet. X is gonna be a killer. :)

Can't wait to see the next 25... 'specially X now. Just one thing -- that's Buzz, not Neil in the suit. Fortunately, he last name starts with 'A' too. ;)

which astronaut is that? 'cause if it's armstrong, his name could be a valid answer as well. (and if it's someone else, his name could be a bonus that tells people like me not to think so hard, lol.)

@courtneyyy It is Buzz Aldrin. If you type in Aldrin it also works. Sadly, you cannot have bonuses on Image quizzes on Sporcle.

My thought process on #11: "Hmm, now is that an alligator or a crocodile?...oh wait, duh." I need more sleep.

I just did a quick google check and I see accordion/accordian spelled both ways. I couldnt imagine why I wasnt getting it.

@chriskotx Accordion is only spelled as accordion. If you type in accordian, Google asks you did you mean to search "accordion."

This quiz was surprisingly fun, even if it did make me feel like I was back at kindergarten.

Never would I guess the furry animal in the second row, second from the right. Great quiz though - not your fault I couldn't get that one! Is there perhaps too much time with 4 minutes? IDK what other people think about that.

how about accepting either apollo or armstrong for the astronaut?

@Pandamoose It is actually Buzz Aldrin in the photograph (Armstrong took it) so if you had typed Aldrin it would have accepted it.

Pandamoose: If you look in the archives, it was buzz aldrin, not armstrong... they said aldrin works, as well as astronaut like i did... @deugea: I agree!!! Never heard that breed, and I'd also vote to lessen time -- either you know them or you don't... but fun quiz :)

if you've seen the movie or production of RENT you might have known akita, at least, that's how i knew. heard the song and had to look up the type of dog.

This almost felt like a Sporcle-Junior quiz. My personal suggestion would to be either give it a 'blitz-esque' time limit, or toughen the questions. Still, nicely put together, but overall too easy for any Sporcler aged over 13 (if not younger), I would reckon.

The snake picture is a constrictor, so the only one that works in anaconda, which is one of the largest snakes in the world. If we start accepting adder and asp, then we should also accept Alabama and Alaska since they are also states.

@tony_A you cant tell its a constrictor just by the picture. there is no way you can say "o look that snake is venomous" unless you have studied snakes in depth. so it should accept asp as an answer unless they can put a picture on here that has a picture of snake saying "NOT VENOMOUS!"

@theeman Once asp didn't work... I knew it wasn't an asp. Once adder didn't work... I knew it wasn't an adder. I'm no snake expert, but eventually I tried anaconda. A little frustrating, but you can still figure it out.

@theeman8866, look at the markings of the snake and compare it to any other snake. It is a constrictor.

I kept looking at that dog, thinking, "I KNOW I've seen that on the Sims somewhere..." and all I could come up with was putting "Alaskan" in front of every imaginable breed...I fail hard. :P
