Megan doesn't have an extra 'A' in it. I'm so ashamed to know that off the top of my head...I watch way to much reality TV. Other than that, though, great quiz!

Excellent quiz! Thank you for including Michael Larson; he is my hero!

I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how I knew some of these... Kathy Griffin completely stunned me, because I'd rather choke to death than watch anything with Kathy Griffin. And I'm with cheezguy- the Michael Larson inclusion was inspired. Overall, another great sprout quiz.

You shouldnt list the shows in alphabetical order. Makes it way too easy to just guess any reality show/game show you know in the right slot.

@CraigBerger Since the average score on this quiz is 30% and barely 10% get more than half of the answers, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's nothing easy about this quiz, even in Alphabetical order. That's just there to help.

Michael Larson is awesome, he figured out a way to beat the game show. If anyone has not seen Michael Larson on Press Your Luck I highly recommend watching it on youtube as it is quite entertaining.

@Sprout: Great game! One suggestion: for Ken Jennings, you should also accept both Grand Slam and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, since he won substantial amounts of money on both. ($100,000 and $500,000 respectively)

I'm glad to say I don't watch as much reality tv as I thought I did. I did recognize Charles Van Doren but could only remember the movie, not the name of the show.

I'm disappointed that only 17% of people know that Michael Voltaggio won Top Chef. His season was the best! But then again, my 17 correct put me in the 96th percentile, so I suppose people that sporcle, on average, don't watch reality tv much.

The mix of British and American TV makes it almost impossible. I got a fair number (7) from knowing the names, guessed on most of the rest by cutting and pasting (possibly too much time) since I honestly don't know reality show winners, just the names of the shows, but the Brit versions didn't even cross my mind.

@alkeiper Actually, some of America's most-watched reality programs were inspired by British versions, including American Idol, Big Brother and Dancing with the Stars.

@alkeiper. Seriously, you could not be more wrong. Reality TV/Quiz show formats are more or less Britain's top export industry these days. Simon Cowell owns 70% of the country.

Great quiz/idea! I agree that it may be better to not have the shows in alphabetical order, but you're right, the scores still aren't particularly high. I was surprised by some of the shows absent and present, but it's good because you made it internationally applicable (ex: Britain's Got Talent, etc.).

Pearl Harbor, Kennedy Assassination, Princess Diana's death, 9/11, when John Carpenter won the Million....you'll always remember where you were when they happened.

Do people not know who Dr. Joyce Brothers is, or is it that people don't know that she won on a quiz show? (her special category, btw, was boxing--you could look it up)

Is there anyone here who would NOT have won the million dollars (without using lifelines) if given the same questions John Carpenter had. I mean ridiculously easy for a million dollars.
