Interesting: most people are choosing not to take advantage of the “COUNTRIES” freebie, it appears. (At the moment, the least-guessed country, Syria, is at 24%, while its word, stria, is at 5%, so it sees fair to estimate around 20% are going for the freebie.)

@Sproutcm: Can you set the top half up so that it's already displayed as the original country as the clue and the "One letter off" as the answers. E.g.:
Countries | Benin | Begin
Countries | Chad | Chaw
That way, country names aren't answers, but you can "narrow the suspects" on the answers you didn't get from the clues. Solving each clue gets you 2 points.

Both Nepal and Poland s/b moved up one space if you're trying for alpha order - great quiz otherwise!

very interesting idea and nicely done! Small mistake: chanson is spelled with an s :) (but there might be a word called chancon that I've never heard of)

@Rockgolf Well, I don't mind that the country names are answers if people randomly feel like guessing countries. I don't want people to know which country goes with which clue. That I want them to figure out on there own, because if they are matched that way, then it isn't much of a challenge, and I thought this quiz should be hard and fun. I just want people to have the option of seeing the full list of countries if they want to help them, but they don't have to look at those at all either.

You got it, hard and fun. As usual, I didn't read the fine print at the top, so I got a low score, then noticed that 32 questions would give you 64 points possible. I did much better with the autofill.
