	tough but good. If not for the Andean Condor, I might not have gotten that one. I gave up with eight blanks at about a minute left--I KNEW I did not know them, so why flail blindly? Turns out I knew two of them and just couldn't retrieve them. dang!

	@Deleine Fixed! I'm terribly sorry I besmirched your name. @ Dunque Sees is not 6-letters long as are all the answers in the quiz. I made the executive decision since people were having such a hard time on this quiz to show the two letter that begin and end the word, because it is still hard even knowing that.

	Took it without knowing it had been without the two letters. Only missed one but was surprised by the histogram. This would have been much harder without such a hint.

	I have to say that I'm shocked that less than 75% of people got "church" correct. I'm also shocked that people did so poorly--does no one have a decent vocabulary these days? I mean, I missed tecate, dorado, and setose, but how did so many people miss emblem? Or tomato, for goodness sake? Great quiz, btw.

	@eab21: This quiz consists of solely 6-letter words that start and end with the same two letters. He's got other quizzes for 5, 7, and 8-letter words, and I'm sure if he decides to do a 9-letter quiz with this theme he'll consider your addition. Tiny quibble about the wording of the "maxima" clue: Techincally they can be highest or lowest points on a curve, but I can understand if the inclusion of "or lowest" messes with the formatting. If you know the answer it should be guessable from the given clue.

	@Medals_and_Scars Thanks for defending the answers. As for your quibble, I'm not sure. Hmm, maxima and minima are the high and low points on a curve, respectively. Extrema is the general term that can be either high or low.

	I think this would be better without having the two letters given; for the ones which weren't that hard anyway the clue makes them completely obvious, and for the extremely obscure ones it barely makes them any less obscure.

	@sproutcm: I also like the fact that Maxima is one of the very few car names that is a plural, the others being the Lumina (lumen), Spectra (spectrum), and Optima (optimum). Also technically Impala could be singular or plural. Anyway, just some random info... Great quiz again sprout!
