Hey All. Feel free to suggest some others in the comments that, with the other names and the category, are definitely gettable. Some of the ones above are a little hard if you didn't see that TV show or didn't like that comedy pair.
Good suggestions will get bonuses or replace some of the harder ones.

Great quiz, sproutcm. Since you asked, how about Stanley and Oliver? (for Laurel and Hardy) :)

I've never heard of Drake & Josh. How about Penn and Teller (that would be tricky)? Hope & Crosby? Masters & Johnson? Smith & Wesson? Black & Decker?

It was strange to see Fry & Laurie in amongst a predominantly US selection. Were they on over there?

While not the most familiar way they were known as, you should accept 'Marie and Donny' too.

What about Astaire and Rogers (Fred and Ginger)? Admittedly, it's an easy one, but it seemed weird it wasn't even a bonus answer.

I had a small lapse in following instructions, while entering "Jeeves & Wooster" about five times, wondering "why isn't this working?"

Please accept Ben and Jerry, without the possessive 's. The brand name shouldn't be necessary (like it could be for Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In).

I had enough random guesses that I weren't on here, it seems like there might be enough for a sequel! Fun quiz and found one bonus (the best comedian magicians ever).

Although I'm very familiar with Stephen and Hugh and their work together in the Jeeves and Wooster programs (and there's another pair for a future quiz), I had no idea they were a named comedy duo with years of TV work together (as revealed by a quick search). I've clearly missed out! I'll have to dig up some of their shows on DVD.

@Penny I wish you I could have used Jeeves and Wooster; however, in the books, the author was very careful to NEVER say anything beyond his name just being 'Jeeves.'

Fun quiz, sweet idea.@Penny, As with you,Fry & Laurie came as a surprise. They both stand out in their individual North American entertainment ventures("House" and "Bones"); not living in the UK, I was unaware of what must have been a great duo.

Hey y'all, we here were just wondering why this quiz has fallen from 4.51 to 3.99 in rating. All of the comments seem to be positive, and there are dozens of bonus answers, but the ratings keep falling. We would love some constructive criticism on what people didn't enjoy about this quiz. Thanks

As someone from the Philly area, I half expected to see Preston and Steve on here. But in all seriousness, some good ones were missed.

@shampoowoody Yes, those are not on here, but for several reasons.
All of the entries on this quiz are of the form NAME & NAME, and the solution is of the form NAME & NAME. So if it was a first name it was replaced by a last name, and vice versa.
Also, all of these pairs had their "NAME & NAME" as the official name of their act or part of a title of a book/movie/show.
So, I agree there could be lots of other couples on this quiz from the history of popular culture, the flaw is those don't fit in given the constraints and standards of this quiz. Another quiz could be made in general for just famous pairs of people, that you could clue in a variety of ways.

There is an error in one of the bonuses. It should be White and Weinberger form Romy and Michele not Wienberger.

i enjoyed everything about the quiz. i grew up in the 1960's and 1970's, and my parents were pre-baby boomer world war II generation, so i was exposed to much of the traditional substance of television; not the television of today i was merely making note as to some of the more notable couples that were either consciously or unconsciously left out of the quiz, given the unknown age of its creator
