	@joeflint82: No, but one of them should have been. I had the same idea as Robby, then decided it was nine, but somehow didn't bother to work out why. adehp's comment made me feel pretty silly for thinking it was eight in the first place.

	Robby is obviously in the wrong for going to the trouble of incorrectly arguing about it, but when you are churning out twelve 4-letter words under time pressure, it isn't unreasonable that half of sixteen pops straight in your head first.

	I'm probably just being a mathematical pedantic here, but could we have 'arithmetic mean' or even just 'mean' please? The 'average' of 2 and 16 could be any of a variety of possible answers (most of them, admittedly, not four letter words which would fit into the relevant place on the ladder) depending on what sort of average you're talking about.

	I must make my point on this discussion... I would ask that a different word be used, since two is obviouosly "average", while sixteen is definitely "exceptional". Oh... never mind (b!tch)
