	Actually, she's not his "girlfriend"; she's his wife. (In the comics, they've been married since 1996. If we want to get really technical, the Earth-2 version's been married to the Earth-2 Superman since 1978 though those characters have been officially dead for about 6 years.)

	Re: moot. I always thought of the word to mean "deprived of practical significance : made abstract or purely academic" and so as something that made debate or dispute pointless. In looking up the definition, I see that it includes to discuss and debate. Just saying. The word ladder was very good.

	@Quislet - I agree. I was also moved to look up the definition of 'moot' after taking this quiz and I was surprised to see that it does indeed mean 'debatable'. It can also mean 'pointless' and 'irrelevant', which is the meaning I knew. Both definitions are mutually exclusive, but at first glance they do appear to contradict each other. English is a funny language. Nice quiz!

	Never heard of "conk" being used as "to hit on the head". I've heard it as slang for "nose" though.

	I always knew moot as meaning debatable and had not heard of the other definitions. Is this a UK/US difference?

	I don't know about the UK, but in my (US) experience, moot is ONLY used to mean that something is no longer worth discussing. "I don't know if Japan should have built that nuclear reactor, but it's a moot point now." I was shocked years ago when I read that its actual definition is practically the opposite. In US practice it does not have that meaning.

	@9toes, I don't believe it's a UK/US difference, as I'm from the UK and have only heard it in the same context as all the other commenters. More likely the "Debatable or disputed" definition is an antiquated definition which has fallen out of popular use.

	I think the definition of Moot has evolved due to the "Moot Court" where law students debate cases (for academic purposes only) but the results of the debate do not lead to actual convictions (the cases having already been tried in a real court and having had a real outcome). So Moot originally meant debatable, Moot Court is where you debate without the results "counting", and so a "moot point" became something worth (or not worth) debating in Moot Court. A Moot point is still something that is debatable, but perhaps not worth debating as it won't resolve anything.
