	@Iscah: Interesting. We use 'make-out' too, but it has the implication that more than lips were involved (perhaps justifying the extra three letters).

	Yes, British people do call it a 'snog'- its a disgusting term and I don't know why we can't just call it a kiss like normal people.

	@croat32: If you typed in the Indianapolis football TEAM it would be the Colts with an S. If you typed in the word for Indianapolis footballer, it would be COLT, which is what it is. So yes, it is a person.

	Snog is mainly a teenage thing...at least where I come from. Adults would rarely use it unless joking. Mind you when I was a teenager we also called it 'tapping' and 'meeting' :S

	Snog - at least among people I know - is typically used as a negative (or humourous) and more-or-less onomatopoeiac term for two people trying to eat each other's tongues avec beaucoup de slobber.... it's not supposed to sound romantic. A less derogatory term for the same thing is french kiss.

	I'm English, and snog isn't very often heard now (where I live anyway). It tends to be either 1) what chavs or "gangsta's" say, or 2) used as a joke/ other non-romantic way

	You can tell you've been working in a church too much when you read "darken a font" and think, "That's a funny way to describe someone being baptized!" :p
