Minnesota and Armenia need to be accepted for the spots they'd fit in. Algeria would also fit the fourth country.

But that's not how the quiz works, likedadsays. The missing letters have to be from the category name--so "Minnesota" doesn't fit because, if you remove the letters in "US States" from it, you'd get "M I N N _ _ O _ _". Similarly for "A _ M _ _ _ A" and "A L G _ _ _ A".

I have always been addicted to solving puzzles, and the fertile mind of sproutcm keeps coming up with new styles of puzzle to be solved! They are usually brilliant, like this one. Thank you!

I was embarrassed that I missed Cameron, having gotten all the other PM's... and then I saw that he's the least guessed of them! What does this say about his current popularity?

In honor of our awesome Miscellaneous editor picking this quiz, I made the first of several sequels.

Thanks for taking the care to include a couple quick explanations as to why answers were wrong as hints. I didn't read the instructions carefully enough when I started, and having that message popping up when I tried "Iron" kept me from getting frustrated.

_ _ M A _ _ A can be another country besides the one presented as the correct answer... it starts with a 'J'.

Any category of British Prime Ministers that doesn't have either Lord Palmerston or Pitt the Elder in it is dead to me.

that's actually weird. without the missing letters rule, romania, somalia, and jamaica work. and the island sumatra, which obviously is not a country, but still that's cool.

When you type in Namibia, it says 'There is no 'M' in 'Countries'' which is irrelevant, since the M is given.

Loved the sarcastic comment when clearly wrong answers are tried. Very nice. Kicking myself for one of the two I missed (I still haven't learned the list of elements well enough...)

For Namibia, shouldn't is say, "There is no 'B' in 'Countries", since as Quonda pointed out, the M is already given?

How did so many people (including me) forget Titanic? It's weird more people guessed a Victorian prime minister than a blockbuster probably everyone who's taken this quiz has seen.

Not that 16% missed John Paul...but probably got frustrated and gave up when in the states category. Quite often I will get frustrated or bored (if a quiz is too long) and just quit the quiz...

Maybe it should be in the rules that some perfectly good answers are going to be rejected? Also, why make it a surprise? Just post the limitations from the start. Personally, I would have put enough letters to make the answers unique - easy enough to do with the categories given, right?

I love that the current PM is close to the least guessed answer in the entire quiz. Wince. @Artie, it does say that in the rules, and in the title of the quiz. It's not that complicated.

@fuzzbotN Yes, everything that is difficult for you to think about is "obnoxious." That's what you tell yourself you feel better about never learning anything new or trying.
