@All of the above. The point of the user contributed section it to try out and test new things. This quiz, and the other one are two experiments. And it is great if you don't like them, because the point of the user section is getting constructive feedback, and changing things.
So, this quiz is completely different from the last one in several ways. Now, you get all the categories and don't have to stumble upon them by hitting the right triggers, so it is purely an A-Z blitz, but now you have 6 categories to use, so you have multiple options for the answers.
So that change for this quiz, was in response to the feedback from the other quiz, but some people really liked it. Those people don't like this quiz as much because now this quiz is easier and more boring, because you know all the categories from the start.
That's the wonderful thing about Sporcle. Every quiz isn't supposed to make every Sporcler feel warm and fuzzy inside, but there SHOULD be quizzes around somewhere that make EVERYONE happy.
So, if we don't keep trying to make new things to excite and challenge people, and sometimes fail and make horrible quizzes, Sporcle will die. |
