| Some people may complain about needing to get some answers before revealing all the categories. But don't listen to them. That's one thing that makes this quiz unique. I gave this one a 5 before finishing. |
 | amwoods13: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 05:00 GMT | | 4 points |
| Unique, but no categories showed up after the first two, despite getting all possible answers for the first two categories. |
 | sammyhain: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 05:30 GMT | | 7 points |
| @amwoods same thing happened to me after completing the first three categories |
 | sproutcm: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 05:44 GMT | | 4 points |
@amwoods13/sammyhain Actually, from each of the categories, this many specific ones move you on to the next category:
Dwarfs (2 of 7)
Countries (3 of 12)
Presidents (4 of 18)
Elements (4 of 11)
Canada Words (5 of 21)
Yes, those are limited options but this is a blitz quiz so you have to think of lots of things in a short period of time. And sometimes you get lucky and hit it on the first shot. |

| Maybe clarify to still type in all of them even when the letter has been filled by an answer. First time around I typed in 5 dwarf names that fulfilled all of the alphabetical boxes as far as dwarfs were concerned. 2 overlap for D and S so I didn't bother to type both for each letter. Coincidentally, these 2 I ignored were the triggers for the second category which then made me very confused as to why it wasn't working and gave up. Loved the quiz once I figured this out but please try and either clarify it or try and fix it some other way. |
 | beatrixkiddo: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 11:05 GMT | | 16 points |
| @MattL1216 - ditto. it's the overlapping letters that confuse. if you already have a category then you don't try that letter, so cannot always get the next category. cannot understand why this has been editor picked when it has basic flaws. |
 | Tahnan: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 13:09 GMT | | -1 points |
| Perhaps a little confusing, but a really neat idea. What *I* don't understand is how only 98.8% got "seven dwarfs" when that's the starting point--what answer, exactly, did four people get without even having any of the categories? |
 | Navarro2814: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 13:19 GMT | | 6 points |
| It was confusing to me how only some got you to the next category. Also, I missed the point of A-Z, because I was just typing out random things from each category. I also didnt understand the "words in Canadian provinces" |
 | Mutford: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 15:31 GMT | | 11 points |
| "Words appearing in the names of Canadian provinces and territories" is confusing. I tried "New," "Found" and "Land" for instance, which didn't help. "On," "Tar" for Ontario. These are words found within the names of the provinces and territories. You need to phrase your question more accurately. |

| what's with the stupid characters surrounding the quiz title? |
 | MorningBell411: | Oct 3rd, 2010 at 23:15 GMT | | 4 points |
| Great idea. You're the Sporcle version of MacGyver. |

| great quiz :) Love these really unique formats... |

| am I the only one who didnt get it? |
 | sproutcm: | Oct 8th, 2010 at 15:42 GMT | | 3 points |
For those people who wanted all the categories to start, rather than having to win them by getting some of the answers, I made this version based on the feedback.

| what did i miss with island? not a dwarf. or country. or element. or province. or number. .... i'm lost. or tired. |
 | slamb: | Feb 3rd, 2011 at 17:34 GMT | | 0 points |
| Left with no categories, just guessed randomly. Then pushed "give up". |

| You should leave some sort of note about France with French Guiana in South America. |
 | skinnyboy77: | Nov 18th, 2011 at 05:08 GMT | | 2 points |
| I got an answer for every letter from A-Y, but didn't get the final hint to pop up. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no Z answer for the first 5 categories(?), so I didn't know how to proceed. |

| Obama? He doesn't seem to exist as far as the quiz is concerned! Otherwise I thought the quiz was terrific; please make more! |

| I also wonder why Obama is not included. I got O with Oxygen eventually, but still seems like a glaring omission. |
 | thewildboo: | Nov 18th, 2011 at 15:57 GMT | | 5 points |
| @Steviejean, Island is part of "Prince Edward Island" |
 | sproutcm: | Nov 18th, 2011 at 16:18 GMT | | 11 points |
| @princessofb/thewildboo Obama wasn't elected until the 21st century. So he's definitely not a 20th Century President. That's why he's not there. |

Good work |

| I liked the one with all the categories laid out at the beginning better, although this was also fun. And I couldn't get "integers" to trigger. |

| Poorly designed quiz since I had no further clues to help with I L Q Y Z left. You need to account for all possibilities! |

| The bonus...or extra...answers make it hard to distinguish if you have all the categories...for instance I didn't even notice "I" was still blank. Okay, it's a lame excuse...but I'm trying here! Love the quiz. |
 | roonilwazlib: | Mar 19th, 2012 at 04:28 GMT | | 3 points |
| I liked this quiz. I missed two, both in the Canadian category. Should I complain that this quiz is not U.S.-centric enough? |

| You need to include Iqaluit... and maybe a better hint for the Canadian category - I kept trying words like "in" or "on" or "man" as words inside names. |

| That was a lot of fun. Very unique. |
 | mdpaul314: | Mar 19th, 2012 at 06:22 GMT | | 12 points |
| @Kmox: Iqaluit is a city, not a province or territory. It's the capital of Nunavut. |
 | xolkan: | Mar 19th, 2012 at 06:24 GMT | | 11 points |
| How come people don't check up facts on the internet before posting? ie. Obama is 21st century and Iqaluit is a city. |

| Boy, I feel stupid. I didn't even know 'Labrador' was officially part of the province's name....and I thought I was decently good at Canadian geography! |

| french guiana is or was a country of south america.
i think u should abolish the "I" category because theres nothing that starts with them as im pretty sure island doesnt fit under any of those categories |
