| I loved the first quiz of this type but this one really frustrated me. It's too hard to keep track of, even with the update (though it did help), because you have secondary and tertiary answers pop up randomly throughout columns instead of just having them show in the same column where the clue is (and I don't see the need for that, it's just an arbitrary way to increase the difficulty by making it harder to keep track of stuff).
I also think some of the words are really too obscure for people who aren't Scrabble fanatics, which I am not. I'm a technical writer by profession so I'm not exactly clumsy with words, and maybe it's the half bottle of wine I had tonight but some of those words just had me scratching my head after I solved them by trial and error, wondering why they were included.
I've hooked people on Sporcle by linking to your Sporcler's Apprentice quiz as I think it was one of the best quizzes ever on this site, so I'm not trying to be a hater, but I really think this one could use a little work. I do hope you continue to make these, however, I think the overall idea is great! |
