At least two writers came from literary families and also married writers, so I just went with the spousal relationship. This quiz was tough so I hope you enjoy it!

There's a misspelling on the last name for the last clue (House for Mr Biswas). In keeping with the international nature of this, the Manns (Thomas, Heinrich, Klaus, Golo, Erika, even Katja) would work well. Very good quiz.

As soon as I published the quiz I told my Sporcle friends to play it and they are always kind enough to rate. I guess it does seem odd now that you mention it though

a/k/a "can you name the author from one of their least known works?". I feel like at the very least you ought to include a work by each of the authors, not just one of them. (Seriously, "Save Me the Waltz"?)

That's how I had it originally, but it became awfully cumbersome for some of them and honestly no one would recognize the name of anything by some of the relatives so what would the point be? What do you have against Save Me the Waltz? It's Zelda's only novel and well known when compared to some of the other spouses.

Christopher Tolkien has spent his life working on publishing the elder Tolkien's notes; I don't know if that's writing so much as turning-into-writing-from-an-outline, but I would say so.

Good quiz, really fun. I only got 6, though.

Even if you don't believe in Christopher Tolkien (and I agree that he's only dubiously a writer), *his* son Simon has published a few novels....

If you reduce the font size, the whole thing will be less unwieldy. And it would allow you some space to include works by both authors. Frankly, if the less well-known authors have works "no one would recognize", maybe they aren't worth including. I'd rather see a tightly-made quiz of the most notable writing families than an exhaustive one that includes Zelda Fitzgerald and Christopher Tolkien.
