George W. Bush: Joe Liberman/John Edwards, not Howard Dean for this to work.

Isn't Joe actually the neighbor on the Griffin's right (as the Flanders are to the Simpsons)? I think Quagmire's house is on the opposite side (if you want to get technical about it).

You should probably call this "Can you solve the analogies?". As it is it sounds like you're looking for types of analogies. (Are there types of analogies?) Although it is quite possible I'm the only one whose brain took it the wrong way at first. ;-)

the reason no one's getting 42 is because the quiz page wants 33.

leaf:plant::branch:tree doesn't really work in my opinion. Trees are a type of plant, and they have leaves as well... I really don't know how to explain what I'm thinking, but I just think that one is iffy.

8:24 thing is no good, obviously, and the snow one is kind of iffy as well.

Number analogies like 8:24::14:__ could really have infinite answers. For example, if x=8, the function making the y equal 24 could be 3x, or 2x+8, or x+16, or even 0x+24. The answer for that analogy could literally be anything.

A group of whales can also be a herd and several other names. Nice idea for a quiz.

I got "Igloo" eventually, but I had The Commodores stuck in my head for the rest of the quiz after reading that clue.
