Taipei? Also, in the case of Niamey, the 'y' is a vowel.

I looked at Taipei, but several sources listed the official name as Taipei City - might put it in as a bonus??? Have altered the description in both this and the 3 consonant quiz to say "X number of consonants in their English name" so Niamey stays in the 3 consonant one!

The Tapei City comes from Tabei-shi. As in Beijing-shi it stands for the municipality, so by convention Taipei should be included. Also 'y' is a vowel and consonant in the English language. Y is interchangeable with 'i' in sound. And in Niamey it is indeed a vowel.

I'm not certain that the "Central America" hint is appropriate for Dominica. Even the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office's travel advice notices make a distinction between Central America and The Caribbean, and Dominica certainly falls within the latter. In either case, the overall continental designation would be "North America."

The y in Tokyo must be a vowel too I suppose?

Am sticking with Niamey being in the 3 consonant game. Have changed Dominica to Caribbean America, as changing to North America may confuse and Central American isn't entirely accurate.
