| Hmm. The Maryland answer confuses me a little bit, but I totally admit I might be wrong. Maryland shares a rather long border with Delaware... it's at a right angle and is the entire length of Delaware. On the other hand, Maryland's land border with Virginia is only northwest of DC to the WV border. It's really does not appear to be that long at all. The only other additional land border is the short one out on the peninsula. So is the water boundary also being counted in your source? That would seem to be inconsistent, because the NJ-DE water boundary clearly isn't counted. I guess the question is: is the MD-VA boundary really that long? |
