	The trouble is, some of these are not "major battles" [Cirith Ungol?], some are in effect the same battle continuing [Pelennor Fields + Minas Tirith; Mazarbul + Balin's tomb], and several have no clearly defined name.

	i think that the battle of the Last Alliance should be included without it no storyline and no stewards of Gondor, no dead sauron,no gollum etc

	You also need to either get rid of some of these battles or move the quiz. The scouring of the Shire and the battles for Mirkwood and Lothlorien didn't take place in the movies.

	balin's tomb is in the chamber of mazarbul, so that distinction is incredible to me. also, battle for the hornburg and the battle for helm's deep were the same action. why not add the battle for the glittering caves if you're going to specify exact locations like this?!? I'm kind of willing to allow the minas tirith/pelennor distinction though, since the battle of the pelennor fields is only taken to have started when the rohirrim arrive.....but really its the same battle. god i have a lot of time on my hands...

	To darkplay33: Moonman190 said rising, not ring, and Dagorlad is not Sauron's first rising, he came to power thousands of years before that. I assume Moonman190 was referencing battles described in the Silmarillion, such as the Battle of Unnumbered Tears. Also Sauron only had one ring, so there is no battle that had his "first ring."

	I think others have commented on the faults of this quiz (some answers repetitive, some battles have no distinct names, some are minor, etc.). That said, I will give you credit for creating a unique quiz that was somewhat enjoyable to completely guess at.

	I think it's generally "Battle of" not "Battle for".
