	I feel not accepting "Mallorca" for Palma de Mallorca was a little harsh - perhaps someone who knows a little more than me can explain if there's a reason it shouldn't be accepted.

	@Joe_Ball: Looking it up, Mallorca (Majorca) is the name of the island -- Palma is the name of the city. Accepting Mallorca for Palma de Mallorca would be like accepting "Illinois" for "Springfield, Illinois". Though the quiz should accept "Palma" if it doesn't.

	Thought I knew Spain after playing the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" wargame years ago. Only got 10 and surprised not to see San Sebastien, Oviedo, Cadiz, Toledo, Tenerife....

	I had never actually heard of L'Hospitalet so I mapped it, and it shows it is south of Barcelona, but the Sporcle map has it quite far north of Barcelona...can anyone else confirm this?

	@rsdwv5: L'Hospitalet (actually called L'Hospitalet de Llobregat) is indeed immediately to the southwest of Barcelona, on the river Llobregat. It's effectively part of the greater Barcelona area.

	I think "Alacante" is misspelled. The Spanish name of the city is "Alicante" and the Valencian is "Alacant".

	Re carlosaurus: okay, not the official any more, but originally it was. And La Coruna is being used quite often (10 million hits on google as opposed to 18 million for A Coruna), not least of all in the name of the football club. So it's fair to say that it should be accepted as an alternative.

	@steeltown: For some reason, Toledo isn't included in the source but Wikipedia gives its population as around 81,000 (unsourced). Santiago de Compostela has 88,000 and is 56th of the cities listed in the source.

	@caramba: San Sebastian is 30th, Oviedo 22nd and Cadiz 37th. Toledo isn't listed in the source but wouldn't be in the top 50, according to Wikipedia's unsourced population statement. Tenerife is an island, not a city.

	@dav_uz: I couldn't agree more. One for Yorkshire would be amazing. After all it has more cities in it and is more populous than Ireland and other such countries. It'd possibly be the best quiz ever. I'm going to write this one up on Sporcle discussions board on facebook and see if it gets made.

	@davidr-- I was just commenting more on my mindset-- I expect TOledo & Santiago to be on the list because I've heard abt them, therefore they must be large enough to have dented my provincial path. I'd love to go & see the 8 or 10 strong men swinging the censer (the size of a banquet table) a la change-ringing style, the whole length of the cathedral at Santiago. If there are similar customs in Yorkshire or Leeds, I' put those on my imaginary travel agenda, too ;-)
