I always thought "George isn't at home" was somewhere in here...

Greatest American Hero... such a great programme :-)
Oct 8th, 2011 at 00:52 GMT
Great, now that song's going to be stuck in my head all day!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 01:08 GMT
I love that song, such a great choice!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 01:11 GMT
I believe the line is "It hit me from out of the blue." Love this song, thanks for the quiz.
Oct 8th, 2011 at 01:31 GMT
Eventually got it but ran out of time. :( Awesome quiz though!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 01:53 GMT
Believe it or not, George isn't at home. Where could I be?
Oct 8th, 2011 at 02:02 GMT
I was a baby when this show was on the air. The only reason I knew the lyrics was from watching 40 year old virgin about a 100 times!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 02:05 GMT
Lyrics aren't quite right. It's not "It's like the light of a new day, it came right out of the blue." The correct lyrics are "Looks like the light of a new day hit me from out of the blue." Still, Greatest American Hero was a great choice!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 02:20 GMT
Very easy to figure out what the song was. Didn't know any of the second verse though.
Oct 8th, 2011 at 02:37 GMT
never heard the song or tv show... bit before my time lol
Oct 8th, 2011 at 03:03 GMT
Thank you for correctly putting should've. I die a little inside every time I see someone write "should of" or "could of" as if those were actual phrases.
Oct 8th, 2011 at 03:21 GMT
Recognized the song lyric, had no idea it had ever been a TV theme...
Oct 8th, 2011 at 03:31 GMT
All I had to go by was George's answering machine and any other common words. Got me in the 70th percentile though!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 03:37 GMT
I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be?
Oct 8th, 2011 at 03:53 GMT
Believe it or not, George isn't at home. Oh where oh where could he be?
Oct 8th, 2011 at 04:43 GMT
Yeah, I have no idea what this is still. I guess it makes me feel better since I never would have gotten it haha.
Oct 8th, 2011 at 04:54 GMT
I love that song. Good choice!
Oct 8th, 2011 at 05:39 GMT
Never heard of the song or the show ;___;

For once, the test phrase I put in for these tv lyrics quizzes came up on the first go. Yay! Then it was just trying to dig the later stanzas out of my you-know-what
Oct 8th, 2011 at 16:50 GMT
Great moment when it dawned on me what it was. I'd like to see more of these.

almost got all the words, I spend way too much time trying to write should have instead of should've.

This quiz is wrong. The correct lyrics are as follows. Believe it or not George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone, where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home.
Oct 8th, 2011 at 20:57 GMT
6th word 4th column is wrong - should be HIT not HIM
Oct 8th, 2011 at 22:09 GMT
I'm not sure if I'm proud or not, but I only got most of the answers thanks to Peter Griffin's rendition on Family Guy.

What about the bridge? "this is too good to be true - look at me, falling for you"
Oct 9th, 2011 at 01:50 GMT
Someone should make a quiz like this using Mr. Belvedere.
Oct 9th, 2011 at 19:43 GMT
The lyrics are wrong-- it's "it CAME from out of the blue." I just listened to/watched it about 10 times to make sure.
Oct 9th, 2011 at 22:56 GMT
I love that song!
Oct 10th, 2011 at 02:24 GMT
EmTee - thats interesting, because I just listened to it about ten times, and its definitely "Hit me from out of the blue"
Oct 10th, 2011 at 02:51 GMT
I still have this as a 7" vinyl single :-)
Oct 10th, 2011 at 20:02 GMT
I don't want to freak any one out, but when I selected this game, I immediately typed "believe it or not" (actually, I typed "be believe it or not.") I'm trying to use my powers for good, but there is a lot of temptation . . .

Best TV Theme Song Ever! Thanks Joey Scarbury and soxfan1!
Oct 11th, 2011 at 01:42 GMT
I've seen at least one lyrics site that has it the way EmTeeZ has it. However, if you listend to it here:
there can be no doubt that it's "hit me" and thus, the quiz has it correct.
Oct 12th, 2011 at 20:30 GMT
"Believe it or not, George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep... I must be out, or I'd answer the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home!" With that in my head, I didn't stand a chance of winning this!
Oct 13th, 2011 at 20:29 GMT
Where could I be?
Oct 24th, 2011 at 17:46 GMT
Careful crouchingdomo and mistrbrwn, people taking this quiz have obviously never watched Seinfeld and will vote down your comments.
