| Very nice quiz, and actually surprisingly easy if you know your mlb history. It ends up being pretty similar to a "name the home run leaders for each season" except that the WWII years of the early 40s aren't included, so there aren't really any no-names on the list. 1923 is probably the hardest answer, but there was another player in the league at the time with the same last name, giving people a much better shot at guessing him. Other tough ones include 1973, since he is more well-known as a manager than as a player, 1968, since there were two different Washington Senators clubs around then, and he definitely played for the less memorable one, and 1979, as he played for several teams, and is not easily identifiable with the Cubs.
