	The '72 Dolphins are one of the most overrated teams of all time, in their 14 regular season wins they beat a total of 2, thats TWO, teams with winning records.

	@bmo: And both of those teams were 8-6. In the Super Bowl,they were actually underdogs to the Redskins, who had only lost 1 game before they benched their players leading into the playoffs.

	@bmo and NCBerge: The Dolphins won each of their regular season games by over two touchdowns on average. They are also the only team in the entire history of the NFL that has been able to go undefeated. This in itself makes them one of the best teams of all time. They had no control over who they played. In addition, it's not fair to count losses against the Dolphins in the win-loss records of the teams they beat in saying how good those teams were. Taking this into account, the Dolphins won 5 games against teams with winning records during their regular season as well as three games in the playoffs against teams with the next best records (after the Dolphins) in the NFL. In addition, they did much of this with their backup quaterback.

	I expected the '89 49ers to be top 3. I always have it '85 Bears, '89 49ers, and '72 Dolphins as 1,2, and 3. No matter what the order.

	If this were expanded to Top 15-20 then youd probably see teams like the 2007 Patriots, 1998 Vikings, and the colts.

	Booger...the Dolphins aren't the only undefeated team ever. In the pre-Super Bowl era the Packers went undefeated in 1929 and the Canton Bulldogs went undefeated 2 straight seasons in 1922 and 1923. Also the Akron Pros went undefeated in 1920, the first year of the NFL. It used to be fairly commonplace in the 1920s.
