"Washington" should be accepted; that's the name of the city, it's like requiring "Miami, FL" and "Chicago, IL"

^ Actually, as a Washingtonian, when Congress merged the territory of dc and the city of washington, the name washington was dropped from the name. Washington is technically not the name of the city, as congress named the land "The District of Columbia"

That said, Washington should still be accepted. . .and be given representation in congress. No taxation without representation!
