Cool quiz. I can't believe it's been over 8 years since I stopped playing Magic. I still remembered 27 answers, because Magic was that cool of a game! Best CCG I've ever been into.

Certainly great quiz, but I feel you should reveal the hint column at the start.

The only suggestion I have is that Astral should be a bonus answer, since the cards it contains were only the extras made for that Shandalar computer game and so it only exists in a technical sense. Also, the Vanguard sets might be nice for a bonus answer since you already have planechase on there anyway.

Quiz updated. I took suggestions into consideration. I decided to leave digital, non-competitive sets, etc., in the quiz but made a note of it in instructions. Also, I decided not to reveal hint column, as I found it would be too easy for even the casual longterm collector.

Question: How can I categorize sets? I would love to be able to organize them into core sets, expansion sets (and possibly grouped in blocks), casual, online, etc.

I needed a few more minutes... but that makes it pretty tough. I completely ignore the products in the right column so I only knew a few...

This was fun. I started playing in early '94 and stayed with it until just after Mirage came out, so I got all the early sets correct. Then I had this huge gap from about '97 to '07 or so where I didn't get any. However, I got many of the recent ones because my young nephew has just become interested in the game and I've been drafted in to be his tutor, so I know the newer sets from going through cards with him.

Good. I feel like the Rival Quick Start Set and the Multiverse Gift Box should be bonus answers, though, since they were just repackaging of cards and boosters from other sets - they did not have their own set symbol or checklist, and the cards in each set were random. Also, you're missing Vanguard.

Thanks for the comment. Quiz edited again, up to newest releases and Vanguard. I wish there were a way to reformat it and make it less ugly.

Good quiz - very comprehensive - so much in it - that I wouldn't have minded a slightly longer time - I didn't get round to thinking about the digital only sets at all.

iirc the 13th and 14th blocks are just counted as one superblock.

They were played in Block Constructed as though they were both one block, greenday, but I don't believe the were actually classified in that way.

You need to accept more answers for the gold-bordered sets. I tried configuring the words multiple ways that are totally acceptable demonstrations of knowing the sets.

Man, you really keep this up to date and comprehensive. A well-made quiz, thanks! I do think it could just use a minute or two more. I don't know if I'd have gotten any more, but scrolling down to see the categories definitely eats up some time, and I rushed to get the last few in.

You need to add Commander's Arsenal, and I think that if you're going to include both Chronicles and its international release, Renaissance, then you should include both Collectors' Edition and International Edition. I really appreciate you keeping this quiz up to date :)
