You should mention that this doesn't include troop deployments, or this list should include South Korea, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, UK, Belgium at least above New Zealand

I wonder why Norway...and not Sweden or Denmark ?...and I figured there were more retired Americans in Panama than Costa Rica.

None of the sources used on that Wikipedia page are comprehensive listings, they're all just individual information pages about each particular country. For this quiz to be accurate, someone would need to go find figures for every single country that's been omitted from the Wiki table, which is nearly all the countries in the world. In other words, the source is completely useless in its present form.

@ chriskotx I may be wrong, but I think Norway is the top oil producer of Europe after Russia.

The source clearly isn't - and doesn't claim to be - a list the countries with the highest population of Americans. So not a good source for this quiz. What you need is a US government (State Dept Bureau of Consular Affairs) source. Here's one from 1999 - can't find anything more recent. http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/state/amcit_numbers.html

From a design perspective, the third column is very difficult to read.

I thought this was a foreign-born population quiz. After all, the United States is only 4th most gotten.

This it a far from comprehensive list based on, as noted, a questionable source. There are almost certainly more Americans living in France, Greece, Ireland, and Italy than there are in Norway.

Wasn't Liberia set up as a colony for former American slaves who wished to return to Africa after the Civil War? That's the only reason I can think of for it's spot on this list.
