Can you name the pitchers who have won 200 games but never the Cy Young Award?
Enter an answer (last names acceptable) in the box below
Correctly named answers will show up below
Answers do not have to be guessed in order
For obvious reasons pitchers like Young, Johnson, and Grove are not included. There was no Cy Young award. Only pitchers whose careers included more than one year from 1956-present are included.

My list ends at 204. So if you know of anyone else who I missed, please tell me. As I mentioned in the note, no pitcher that pitched before 1956 is included since there was no Cy Young Award before then.

Both Roberts and Pierce started their careers well before 1956, and in Roberts' case, his best years were behind him by the time the Cy Young was introduced, so this quiz isn't entirely fair to them. In any event, a search of 200+ wins from 1956-present turned up 45 hits but the only ones I see there that never won a Cy and aren't already on your list are Chuck Finley (200), and Kevin Brown (211). The win totals for the active players are also wrong: Andy Pettitte now has 240 wins, and Jamie Moyer has 267.

Roberts did play 10 years after the Award was initiated. Sure, his best years were behind him. But he still meets the criteria I set in the instructions, as does Pierce. Maybe it isn't completely fair to them. But I still have to include them. I will add the ones you mention and correct the win totals for the other 2.

Most of these guys are just below Hall of Fame level. Very interesting list. Nice job!

Nice quiz. For as long as he's been around, I was stunned when Wakefield didnt show up. Turns out he only has 193 Wins.

Jack Morris' Cy Young year (1984) was stolen by a teammate, Willie Hernandez. :) Good quiz!
