| This isn't the top 20 worldwide, this is only among the OECD, so doesn't include Russia and most other former Soviet countries, nor most South American countries, which might well appear in the actual top 20. Also might be interesting to convert this measure into terms of actual drinks: e.g. the top score, 15.5 l of alcohol per year, works out as (very roughly) half a bottle of wine per day, or a pint and a half of beer, or two shots of vodka. Which actually seems surprisingly low for the top score... I wonder if the "per capita" is just among adults, or among the whole population? |
