Seems like we have some Sporcle novices here. By Sporcle convention, the United Kingdom is a country (it's a member of the UN). On Sporcle's "Countries of the World" quiz, 195 countries are listed; 192 are UN members (including the UK), and there are three others widely considered countries (Taiwan, Kosovo, and the Vatican). Since England, Scotland, etc. are not part of the UN but are part of the UK, they aren't considered on this quiz, or on Sporcle (although I did list them as bonuses).
And in regards to your comment, @mikeeo620, Flemmish, as I said before, refers to Flanders, which is not a country. |
