| Just a note that due to the winner takes all effect, votes per capita isn't necessarily equivalent to getting the most say. In a simplified example, suppose you have four states with 10, 8, 6, and 3 electoral votes. Any two of the largest three have a majority so the 10 vote state is equal to the 6 vote state despite having double the population while the smallest state's vote doesn't matter at all. So in terms of their ability to influence the election, they'd be ranked 6, 8, 10, and 3. |
