| @LotusBen: You are correct about 'transgender' being an adjective only, although use of 'transgenders' is not as much offensive as it is just poor grammar. Interestingly, you noticed the misuse of 'transgender' in the title, but did not notice the similar misuse of the word 'gay'. 'Gay' is normally used as an adjective. It is never used as a singular noun, but may be used as a plural noun ('gays') in hard-to-fit titles. Do not use 'gays and lesbians', since the first includes the second. When it is useful to emphasize the inclusion of both sexes, use the adjective form and write 'gay men and lesbians'. Thus, the title should read "gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered people" or "gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people." |
