| You need to be careful about who you term "leader", as I found out when writing my version of this game (http://www.sporcle.com/games/EGaffney/ukliberalparty/). For instance, although Jo Grimond seems to have been consitutionally the leader of the party during his brief 1976 term (in the way that Margaret Beckett was briefly Labour leader in 1994), Vince Cable was not Leader under the Lib Dem Constitution. Also, there were periods of multiple leaderships in the Lords and the Commons, so you need to specify either (a) that you're asking for Lords or Commons leaders, or (b) find a very definitive, respected sources that states "this person was the leader then". |
