| Not a correction, just FWIW: in Peru, the word "limón" refers to the small round green lime (like a key lime) that they have there; there is no big green lime like in Mexico or USA, and there is no yellow lemon -- but the word "lima" can also mean a different (bigger, round like an orange, fairly uncommon, bitter not sour) citrus fruit (one which as far as I know has no English name). Oh, and this is Peru, so this would be how the words work in... Lima. |
