Great quiz idea! One big issue: You've got detail/tailed twice, but one of the times, you're supposed to get "driest" out of it.
Jun 28th, 2011 at 20:52 GMT
@slipkid: direst and driest would obviously leave the third answer.
Jun 29th, 2011 at 03:19 GMT
@bampote & Flick: I did some bad cut and paste creating the quiz, should all be corrected now. Also, thanks Flick, for the Pick.

fun game! I just have one question: how come tasers doesn't work for assert and asters?
Jun 29th, 2011 at 21:18 GMT
@bowsntoys: I always considered Taser a proper noun, not that the directions rule against it. I think the word is common enough so I've added 'tasers' as an alternate answer. Thanks.

Very fun quiz. Five globes. My one small quibble: It was a bit on the long side. I'd prefer it with half the words.

Well, sometimes I guess it's good to experience some humility----It started out easy and then.............yep.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 06:17 GMT
Agree with the above. It seemed like every time I came up with an anagram for one of the words in the third column, it was the other word that I just wasn't looking at at the moment. More time would be nice.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 07:27 GMT
Great Quiz...but...I experienced a little too much humility...Yes, more time, please!!!
Jul 10th, 2011 at 12:13 GMT
I gave up halfway through. This should have been broken into two quizzes.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 12:59 GMT
Great quiz! More time!
Jul 10th, 2011 at 13:02 GMT
Definitely needed more time for the longer strings of letters, but a lot of fun!
Jul 10th, 2011 at 14:27 GMT
Yes hard quiz, but I enjoyed it. Was sure "malicer" would work for reclaim, but apparently that's not a word ;)
Jul 10th, 2011 at 14:33 GMT
MAES should be acceptable. It's an acceptable 4 letter word in Scrabble.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 15:11 GMT
PADLE is also good, it's a hoe.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 15:43 GMT
These are good patterns to memorize if you want to get really good at Scrabble. That's actually how I know BOLSTER & LEADING.

I don't mind running out of time, this is usually the type of thing that is easy for me, and while missing 14 is worse than I would expect, I doubt more time would have helped too much, honestly.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 16:38 GMT
Very fine quiz. You could accept "PEAN" as an anagram of NAPE.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 17:31 GMT
I struggled with the words that were five letters plus.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 18:02 GMT
I'm quite divided. Another minute, or even 2, would probably have helped my score, but any extra time would mean extra banging my head against the wall. Well done.
Jul 10th, 2011 at 18:22 GMT
pretty cool. you could include listen/silent/enlist
Jul 10th, 2011 at 18:37 GMT
@sargeanthr: Tinsel would also be a valid word for your mix.

Fun quiz, but I don't think I've ever seen a Sporcle quiz in more need of additional time. And I mean that you really need to DOUBLE the time. The result percentages back me up on that.

i got a solid 10
Jul 10th, 2011 at 21:16 GMT
I do think another minute or so might have helped me. I went through the list once, getting all the ones I could easily see, then went back to the ones I'd skipped. I was able to fill in all the ones I'd skipped during the second pass. So, I do think I would have been able to get the majority of these with a little more time. Great quiz, though, even if it was tough.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have asked the Sporcle admins to add more time.
Jul 11th, 2011 at 00:45 GMT
It would be funny if someone got all of them except "loser" and then that shows up at the end :P

Lots of fun but word games give me flashbacks to my ex-wife destroying me at Boggle and Scrabble.
Jul 11th, 2011 at 02:13 GMT
I ran out of mental stamina long before I ran out of time.
Jul 11th, 2011 at 15:23 GMT
Jul 11th, 2011 at 19:43 GMT
The time has been increased to 12 mins.
Jul 11th, 2011 at 20:32 GMT
wow that's tough. Even with 12 minutes! But an awesome idea for a quiz. My brain hurts.
Jul 11th, 2011 at 23:30 GMT
lots of missing terms.

Fun quiz. Every answer is a familiar word.
Oct 16th, 2011 at 08:32 GMT
I was one of the 1.9% that couldn't get "sit". I still managed to get into the 80th% percentile, so I'm not too sad.
Oct 17th, 2011 at 16:26 GMT
Too long. Got all but 1 in first column, then went to lunch instead LOL
