I'm not sure it's accurate to describe famine as a "natural disaster." "Volcano," strictly speaking, I'm sure is inaccurately classified. Now, "volcanic eruption," on the other hand...

@Blowfish_Hootie: I agree that "volcanic eruption" is more accurate and I've changed it. Thanks. As far as famine and some of the others, I used the following definition for natural disaster: "A hazard which occurs naturally and is not brought about by acts of human beings. It typically has profound environmental effect and/or human loss and frequently incurs financial loss."
