I like the concept, but would you at least be consistent on whether or not you give the city/state?
Apr 19th, 2012 at 13:46 GMT
Because sporcle doesn't observe conventional alphabetization as of yet, consider either removing "The" from the answers, or appending it as in "Addams Family, The".
Apr 19th, 2012 at 13:48 GMT
And I don't necessarily agree with adhair, because in a few cases here if you include the complete address with state/province and country it would result in a complete giveaway.
Apr 19th, 2012 at 14:13 GMT
Darn you, Springfield!
Apr 19th, 2012 at 14:48 GMT
Correct one address, the Bunkers lived at 704 Hauser.
Apr 19th, 2012 at 15:06 GMT
@Juvo415:Took out "The". @maxracer: Thanks for the edit, corrected to 704 Hauser.

Hey, I have never seen the Simpsons, but I got 1 of them right...
Jun 19th, 2012 at 15:52 GMT
Was waiting for 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, Australia.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:09 GMT
Say what you will about clickable quizzes, but they really work for quizzes like these.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:13 GMT
Not NEARLY enough Simpsons addresses (condescension/sarcasm)....... The inclusion of Flanders adds a challenge because they are next-door neighbors. Cool. But was Montgomery Burns entirely necessary? There were plenty of other famous addresses to include.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:14 GMT
I agree with A_Trep. The overkill on the Simpsons seems unnecessary.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:18 GMT
Any quiz with the Simpsons, Family Guy, Harry POtter, etc dooms me to utter defeat, as I have never seen/read any of those...
Comment below threshold:

At the very least you may have noted there were three Simpsons answers and three answers that took place in Springfield. Also, I think even if you haven't seen it, the fact that the Simpsons live in Springfield is fairly common pop culture knowledge. But, I will agree three Simpsons addresses was dumb.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:33 GMT
from imdb.com....The Flintstones' address changed several times as the series went on: from 222 Rocky Way to 345 Stonecave Rd. to 301 Cobblestone Way. The final ("official") address given was 301 Cobblestone Wy., Bedrock, 70777. ...Other places on the internet say it was Stone Canyon Drive, which is what I recall from watching the show.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:35 GMT
you could also add 119 North Wetherly in Minneapolis
Jun 19th, 2012 at 16:55 GMT
I've read all the Poirot novels and still missed it. Ugh.

Acculy is Dolan
Jun 19th, 2012 at 18:13 GMT
Yes, like jake3343 said, this was the PERFECT chance to use 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. It's probably the most well-known fictional address.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 18:15 GMT
So, apparently more people know where Spongebob lives than the President of the United States (though I suppose the numbers could be skewed somewhat due to players outside the U.S.).
Jun 19th, 2012 at 18:18 GMT
At least the President is outscoring Donald Duck.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 18:25 GMT
I think the Flanders address is incorrect. The house for the address given in the quiz was occupied by Sideshow Bob during one of his plots to get Bart, only to be thwarted by the true resident of the house, Walt Warren.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 18:28 GMT
Awesome game, slipkid. I was thinking of making a game like this, but your mix of more notable and less recognizable people/addressees was perfect to the extent that I would not have been able to duplicate such a game. Very awesome quiz and you definitely deserved the publish.

Ah, finally! All my dreams have come true. I am qualified to be a mail man! Hey wait, the POTUS is barely beating the Clampetts? He's kind of famous, still around, and it's been his address for about 200 years, whereas they were (A) fictional, (B) on prime time for about three sesons, and (C) in syndication for maybe 40... That's just sad. Sure, they had a cee-ment pond and all, but that's still sad....

For the "Gravelpit" one I started looking for wu-tang members...

Wait a second...Bruce Wayne is Batman!?
Jun 19th, 2012 at 22:11 GMT
23 right and I've got a 50/50 shot on The Munsters and The Addams Family...woohoo for guessing right!!
Jun 19th, 2012 at 22:49 GMT
I've never watched the shows, but knew the Hills lived in Texas and the Bundys in Chicago. Process of elimination left the Family Guy in Rhode Island. I knew where Sherlock Holmes lived and correctly figured Peroit would live in an apartment and the family in Harry Potter would live in a house. I knew where the Munsters lived, but had never heard the Addams address, but it had to be the other 1313 one. I also did not know the Flintstones address other than Bedrock, but the name Gravelpit gave it away. But there is no way a non-Simpsons fan is going to get all three of those without guessing.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 22:52 GMT
Don't normally complain about answers in quizzes but Anne Frank really doesn't belong with cartoon characters.
Jun 19th, 2012 at 23:25 GMT
@davebesag: I agree it's in very poor taste.
Jun 20th, 2012 at 00:35 GMT
Well, if you've never heard the address of the White House, you aren't going to get it. Its not something you hear everyday and a non-American would be less likely to know it. But the Beverly Hillbillies had to live in the only Beverly Hills address in the quiz. (I did get it and 10 Downing, I'm just saying).
Jun 20th, 2012 at 00:44 GMT
Must remember to check all possible answers before guessing something that sounds plausible... /o
Jun 20th, 2012 at 06:32 GMT
Well, if you never knew what the Munsters, the Addams family, and Donald Duck have in common, now you know: They all share a house number. :)
Jun 20th, 2012 at 21:04 GMT
No P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney?
Jun 22nd, 2012 at 06:20 GMT
Man, I thought I was doing okay knowing that the Addams Family lived at 1313 something street. Who knew the Munsters did too?
Jun 23rd, 2012 at 01:25 GMT
Heh, Harry Potter's address is more well known than the Prime Ministers.
Jun 24th, 2012 at 23:48 GMT
Gosh I hate clickable quizzes, the only reason I didn't get Anne Frank was because I didn't even know she was an option. I wondered which cartoon character/ other lived in another country (besides the prime minister)
Jul 24th, 2012 at 19:43 GMT
It's kind of sad when the greatest television character of all time is guessed the fewest out of all of these.
Jan 23rd, 2013 at 00:12 GMT
Interesting quiz. Would have liked to seen John & Maureen Robinson from Lost in Space. (Jupiter 2).
Feb 4th, 2013 at 03:14 GMT
I'm on the too many Simpsons bandwagon. When the first Springfield address came up, I thought there was only one Simpsons character. When the second one came up, I thought there were only two. By the time the third one came up, I was done.
