	There used to be the Lubbock Crickets (not AAA) named in honor of Buddy Holly & the Crickets. Also, this type of quiz is really better suited to clickable, now that that's available.

	I recall a discussion with some friends a while back about the stupidest name for a sports team - we settled on the Cottbus Crayfish (American football team in Germany), but after seeing some of these I think I might revise my opinion!

	@rockgolf: I read on Wikipedia (so obviously it HAS to be true) that the writer for the Simpsons who wrote the Isotopes episode used to announce for the Syracuse Chiefs (the current AAA affiliate of the Nationals) and that's what he based the team on in the episode. So the Syracuse Chiefs have an interesting connection with the Albuquerque Isotopes. Just another fun fact, I guess. BTW...for a while the Chiefs were known as the "Skychiefs" so as not to offend the Native Americans....but it didn't go over well since it was SO rediculous sounding. Maybe not the worst, based on the list above though.

	As an Albuquerque native, I know some people who still prefer The Dukes, our old name. But Isotopes has creativity going for it.

	By "calvary" did you mean "cavalry"? Cavalry would be a sweet name for a team, but naming a team after Calvary would trump the weirdness of any of these names.

	@KevinA715: I did mean "cavalry". "Calvary" would be too weird. Can I blame my spelling error on being so close to Easter? I have asked the admins to correct it. Nice pick up by you. You are the only one to point it out in 23,000 game plays.
